Something better than Ares Galaxy?
Ares Galaxy, the P2P filesharing software, is synonymous with the concept of filesharing. But like in so many other industries where the most popular and well known brand is not the best product, Ares Galaxy is not at the top of the tree when it comes to filesharing applications.
The original version of Ares was Ares Galaxy and this remained the case for some years; during this time, it seems, the name was ingrained on users’ minds and has remained there since. Everything else that did the same job was quickly dismissed as a pretender or a clone.
But today we look at some of these ‘pretenders’ and ‘clones’ and it becomes apparent that they are in fact superior in every way to the original. Take Ares Vista for example. Ares Vista is all the best bits of Ares Galaxy, but is easily setup to work with Windows Vista. Ares Vista also provides to its users customer support. Ares Vista is just better than Ares Galaxy. The same can be said for Ares Ultra and Ares Ultimate.
Not all the new versions of Ares are up to scratch, however, and it is advisable to steer well clear of Ares Destiny and Ares Gold, both of which are inferior to Ares Galaxy and both of which package adware with the software.
