Regular TV or iPhone TV

I am as excited as the next man about the tantalizing prospect of getting TV directly on my iPhone. ‎Now I can waste even more of my time glued to my favorite Apple gadget. The bad news is that ‎iPhone TV is not quite here yet; the good news is that it will be very soon if and when Apple ‎decide to push the relevant buttons.‎

And they have got every incentive to push the button: Apple know how to wring every last penny ‎of profit out of their deals, and the iPhone TV will be absolutely no different.‎

The thing about Apple’s ventures in ‘new’ areas like iPhone TV is not that they are the first to do ‎this kind of thing – there are other phones that allow this already – but that they will do it the best. ‎They will also do it the most profitably. Their market position helps them negotiate deals that ‎smaller organizations could only dream of, and their marketing budget will no doubt dwarf the ‎entire turnover of many of their competitors.‎

The most lucrative part of iPhone TV will be the potential for finely-tuned advertisements, running ‎directly to the advertiser’s target audiences. Now that is worth a pretty penny.‎
