Apple is up to its old marketing tricks: it’s ‘running out’ of iPhone games. Oh no! The online shop is officially out of stock while brick and mortar shops are left with the stock they have currently got.

This news comes as no surprise to those that know Apple’s plans for the next generation of iPhone games; starve the supply now and keep ‘em keen appears to be the tactic. It also means Apple doesn’t have to make and supply a load of older iPhone games models only to have to recall them when the new one is released.

On Monday, four mobile providers in the Asia-Pacific region announced partnerships with Apple to bring the iPhone games to their regions later this year: Singapore, India, Philippines and Australia will be the lucky recipients this time around. Details of the deals have not been announced, but the tariff sharing employed in other countries is likely to remain.
