Phuket is an enchanting place, honestly. There is something there for everyone from children to middle-aged couples to buddies on a boys’ holiday. Given the outrageous number of Phuket bars the place is absolutely custom made of boys’ holidays. I went with my husband to check the place out for a week and, despite not being so enthralled with the Phuket bars, I found lots of things to keep me entertained and to make this a really enjoyable vacation.
I did visit some of the Phuket bars (my husband was certainly interested in visiting the bars and drinking as much as possible in them) and I can certainly see why they are so well liked: Phuket bars are so diverse. There are so many of them, too! Wow.
The majority of the bars (and seemingly the rest of the entertainment) is centered around one long street (along with a myriad of side streets, each called a ‘Soi’). The proximity of all the bars and restaurants to one another meant it was really convenient to just go out and wander at will from place to place.
Visiting a few less Phuket bars would have suited me just fine, but it was his holiday too!

I love downloading iPhone music. I get it for free from torrent sites, convert it into a form that is compatible with my iPhone using some pretty nifty free (and legal!) software, then I play away. I have all the iPhone music that I would ever need right there on my phone.
I tried paying for iPhone music downloads in the past – when my moral sensibilities got the better of me – but it just became too expensive. Not only that but I realized I needed the money than the massive publishing companies that would most likely be benefiting from my payment. I’m a happy ‘filesharer’ to this day and I have no regrets that I get all of my iPhone music downloads in this way.
The problem with paid-for services like iTunes – apart from the massive price tags – is that the choice of iPhone music is pretty limited. The pop section is really good but everything else seems to be very limited. This might be partly due to my fairly eclectic taste in music, but that’s no excuse at all. Other services are equally expensive and equally limited. I’ll stick with free iPhone music downloads for now, thanks very much!
